ANNUAL CONVENTION
March 12-14, 2010 Little Rock
EMBASSY SUITES
LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS
The convention committee has worked hard to plan this year’s
EDUCATIONAL SEMINARS. THIS YEAR WE WILL NOT HAVE AN EXHIBIT HALL. THE
EXHIBITORS HAVE BEEN INVITED TO ATTEND THE SOCIAL TIME FRIDAY AND Saturday
NIGHT AND TO HOST A Hospitality ROOM IN THE HOTEL TO DISPLAY THEIR
PRODUCT. Don't forget to check the board for the room number of the
exhibitors., WE WILL HAVE DOOR PRIZES PROVIDED BY THE EXHIBITORS GIVEN
AWAY EACH NIGHT DURING THE SOCIAL TIME, YOU MUST BE PRESENT TO WIN.
Saturday we will have two six hour courses, you must attend all six hours
of the courses to receive credit for the course. Please mark on your
registration form the course that you will attend in order for us to have
the proper number of hand outs. Saturday afternoon we will have a board
meeting to elect officers and three board members. Please make plans to
attend this important meeting. If you would like to have your name placed
on the ballot to run for an officer or board member please contact Cindy
Mallett. You will be able to get all the state board required hours by
attending either day. Remember guest badges are not allowed in the meeting
rooms. Mark your calendar and make plan to attend March 12-14, for a

PRESIDENT’S LETTER
Hello Everyone,
Hello Everyone,
He we are bringing in the year 2010. It is once again time to come
together for our Spring Convention. This will mark my 19th year of
attending the Arkansas conventions and I must say, they have been
memorable years. I have enjoyed working with the members, board members,
vendors, speakers, and all others who attend.
Supporting your association also supports your career choice. This has
been such a fulfilling career for me and the OAA has been
a big contributor. We not only get educational hours and fellowship at
these meeting. We also get guidance.
So please join us in Little Rock the weekend of March 12-14. Make use of
this opportunity to further yourself in the optical field. We
Look forward to having you there.
Sincerely,
Velvet Prewitt
